Indian Creek Pulls Clean Sweep at NWTF Still Shoot Frohna, MO - Indian Creek Shooting Systems (ICSS), manufacturer of the deadly-accurate Black Diamond Series Choke Tubes, is elated to announce their choke tubes were used to collect a win in every category of the 2008 National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) Still Shoot Championships in Edgefield, South Carolina. October 4, 2008 wasn’t just your average southern day for the nearly 50 entrants shooting the World Championship round and final leg of the NWTF Still Shoot. The weather was fair, the competition was tough as expected, and although each shooter had their respective gun/load combination there was one choke tube maker that rose to the top in each of the NWTF’s respective disciplines - Indian Creek Shooting Systems. “We’ve been making our mark on the NWTF Still Shoots for the last few years and we were hopeful someone shooting an Indian Creek tube would win a category or two. When we heard the news Sunday night that we had swept every category, we were blown away. It’s a really big accomplishment and a hugely significant point-of-pride for us,” said Stuart Ruehling, co-owner of Indian Creek Shooting Systems. NWTF Still Shoots challenge shooters to put the most pellets inside a 3-inch circle on a paper target from a distance of 40 yards, which is the maximum shooting distance the NWTF recommends. Originally known as a "turkey shoot," the NWTF's Still Target Championships were conceived 17 years ago as a conservation effort to help turkey hunters better understand point of aim and point of impact of their turkey guns. In more recent years, the shoots have changed names and the competition amongst the shooters has intensified. Competition between equipment manufacturers has also heightened for the bragging rights that come along with NWTF blue ribbons given out at shoots. Over the last three years ICSS has captured a total of 11 NWTF Still Shoot Championships and 5 World Records, with three still standing. This year was no exception in the regard of winning championships, although no new World Records were set. Indian Creek Shooting Systems would like to congratulate and thank the winners for each respective category, including: Women's 20GA Division 2008 World Champion Karie Scott - shooting a .560" Indian Creek Choke; Jakes' 20GA 2008 World Champion (17 years old & under) Jacob Miles - shooting a.560" Indian Creek Choke; 12GA Open 2008 World Champion Brian Sloan - shooting a .665" Indian Creek Choke; 20GA Open 2008 World Champion Scott Kirsch - shooting a .555" Indian Creek Choke; 12GA Muzzleloading Shotgun 2008 World Champion Brian Sloan - shooting a .655" Indian Creek Choke. “What we find most amazing and exciting about the NWTF Still Shoots is the fact that shooters need to use chokes that are available to the public. It translates to big success when you consider any guy can go into his local Bass Pro Shops and buy a tight-shooting Indian Creek tube right off the shelf. Even more exciting, is how well they work on actual birds,” stated ICSS co-owner Mike Ponder. For more information on Indian Creek Shooting Systems, or their pattern-dense Black Diamond line of choke tubes, visit www.indinacreekss.com or call 573-824-5555. |
